We absolutely loved our stay at this mountain estate! The property is truly one of a kind — so unique and thoughtfully designed. The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset. It felt peaceful, private, and like a true escape. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The hosts clearly put a lot of care into the home and the guest experience. If you’re looking for a gorgeous mountain getaway with unforgettable views, this is the place. We would definitely stay again!

All the great reviews about this place are right, it is a wonderful stay! The hosts were very kind and responsive, and even left me a small birthday treat. The place itself is just as pretty in person as the pictures. We also appreciated how well maintained the driveway and hiking paths were. We did not take advantage of the early/late check in/out but were happy it was an option if we needed it. Would absolutely come stay again.

Off season respite, 3 generations in the house, celebrating parents 60th anniversary! enough space to get away to a bedroom or game room when needed! Played cards and watched movies together by the fireplace. Explored Swansboro and Beaufort where we bought a Prizm kite. Flying the kite and walking the dog on the empty clean beach was awesome! Great house!

Everything about this stay was great! I wanted to take my wife somewhere we could relax for the Valentine’s Day weekend, and this did not disappoint. Beautiful, spacious house high in the mountains with a gorgeous view. Fully stocked kitchen, incredible hot tub, extremely comfortable beds, walls full of interesting art, the works! It was peaceful, quiet, and honestly, just what we needed for a relaxing weekend. The hosts were fantastic! Proactive, but not invasive. They very quickly answered what few questions we had. Very friendly over messaging. Couldn’t have asked for better interactions. The only thing we didn’t like about our stay was that it was only two nights. Multiple times my wife and I mentioned how much we would have liked to stay longer. We fully intend to come back, hopefully in the near future, and spend more time relaxing here. I almost hesitate to write this review because I don’t want other people to find out about this place. Truly a hidden gem! We will be back!

Two words..JUST BOOK! We have never had a host to be as down to earth, communicative, helpful and overall just a good person as Ash was. She answered any questions I had and responded within minutes. The cottage is exactly how it is described which does include you will definitely need 4 wheel drive or at least all-wheel drive as there are steep climbs. I would suggest stopping at Walmart (Spruce Pine) or Ingles depending on the direction you are coming as the cottage is tucked in way off the beaten path. Hiking trails right in the "back yard" which we enjoyed the convenience. I would suggest venturing into Burnsville if a glass blowing session(across from Hog Hollow Pizza) interests you and takes reservations. The cottage was very welcoming with top to bottom cleanliness. Has everything you need to cook with and grab a bag of ice on the way in if you think you will need ice. There is a small convenance store a few miles from the cottage. We were sad to go but, will return soon!

Breathtakingly beautiful, serene, peaceful, and 10/10. Didn’t want to leave and would come back in a heartbeat!! We have never felt more welcome or appreciated by anywhere we have ever stayed. All the special touches like the welcome basket of snacks, thank you cards, wine, and treats for the pups was sooo thoughtful!! The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive and the cottage was decorated beautifully and we loved sitting in the hot tub and looking out at the stars. 😀😀😀

The hosts were so responsive and kind with every question and request I had. Their home is beautiful and was perfect for my trip. Although we didn’t indulge in the beach access because of the snowstorm, the surroundings were tranquil and private. We enjoyed our stay very much !

I would like to start by complimenting the hosts, because they have been truly extraordinary. People who genuinely care and today that is a real luxury. From the very first moment, you feel how thoughtful, attentive, and warm they are, and it sets the tone for the entire stay. Now about the mountain house itself. It feels like a peaceful retreat in the middle of the woods, yet everything is conveniently close and easy to reach. The house is incredibly well equipped whatever you may need or want, it is already there. The attention to detail is exceptional, and it shows in every corner. The decor is absolutely stunning, the bed is extremely comfortable, and I especially loved the blackout curtains such a small detail, but it makes a huge difference. The views are truly breathtaking from every part of the house; no matter where you are, you’re surrounded by beauty. This place feels thoughtfully created, warm, and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back in the future. Thank you!

My fiancé and I had a great stay at the cabin! It was perfect for the two of us, we loved the privacy, the beautiful view, the cozy atmosphere and my personal favorite, the hot tub! My fiancé proposed on our first night and I would absolutely love to come back!
